Twiceme and Rudy Project Partner to Bring Digital Safety to Mountain Bike Helmets

We're excited to announce that Twiceme has partnered with Rudy Project — the Italian multisport performance brand trusted by elite athletes in over 60 countries — to integrate Twiceme's digital safety platform into their mountain bike helmet range, launching in 2026.

Why this partnership matters

Mountain biking is one of the few sports that routinely takes people deep into remote terrain, often alone or in small groups, far from immediate emergency services. When something goes wrong — a crash, a medical episode, a rider who doesn't come home — every second counts.

That's exactly the gap Twiceme was built to close.

By embedding Twiceme's NFC-based technology directly into Rudy Project helmets, riders will have access to a full suite of safety capabilities through the Twiceme app:

  • Medical ID — upload emergency contacts, allergies, medications, and medical conditions directly to your helmet. First responders can access this information instantly by hovering any NFC-enabled smartphone over the Twiceme symbol.

  • Emergency Services — manually trigger an SOS alert that uses GPS to share your last known location with emergency services.

  • Immobility Alert — if prolonged stillness is detected (a potential sign of incapacitation), the system automatically notifies emergency contacts after an unanswered mobile prompt.

  • Get Back Timer — set an expected return time, and designated contacts are automatically alerted if you don't check in.

  • Share Location — let selected contacts track your ride in real time.

Built for the trail. Powered by the same standard.

Rudy Project brings four decades of helmet innovation to this partnership. We bring the digital safety layer that makes those helmets smarter — connecting riders to help when they need it most, and giving peace of mind to everyone waiting at home.

"Our partnership with Twiceme extends our commitment to athlete safety by adding an intelligent layer of protection that travels with riders wherever the road or trail takes them," said Simone Barbazza, Chief Marketing and Sustainability Officer at Rudy Project.

"Mountain biking takes athletes into remote terrain where quick emergency response can be challenging," said Christian Connolly, CEO of Twiceme. "Our partnership with Rudy Project empowers riders to take control of their safety on the trail. By integrating our technology into Rudy Project's helmets, we're giving users the tools to be proactive about their safety and providing emergency responders the information they need to respond more effectively."

This collaboration marks an important step in Twiceme's mission to build a universal digital safety standard — one that works as well on a mountain trail as it does on a construction site.
